We aim to provide a one point enquiry service for all enquiries related to Council services. We also deal with telephone enquiries at our contact centre.
If our Customer Service officers are unable to answer your specific query, we will put you in touch with people who will be able to give you expert advice.
We encourage customers to make an appointment where possible so that we make the most of our meeting with you.
If you request an appointment we will aim to find you a suitable appointment time within 3 working days.
We aim to see 90% of our customers within 15 minutes of that appointment time. If you are late for your appointment please note that you may not be seen and may have to re-book your appointment. If you cannot attend please call us on 01865 249811.
If you arrive without an appointment:
- We offer you the opportunity to telephone our contact centre from our Self service area; or
- We will see you as soon as the next Customer Services Officer is available; or
- We offer to dispatch your original documents in our secure post system; or
- We can book an appointment for amore convenient time.

Centre Locations
St Aldate's Customer Service Centre
Please visit the St Aldate's Centre location map.
To get to the centre, use any bus to Oxford City Centre. The Centre can be found opposite the Town Hall on St Aldate's.
Pay and display car parking is available at the main city centre car
parks, which include Westgate City Centre Car Park, Worcester Street,
Abbey Place (Opposite the ice-rink), Gloucester Green (Underground
close to the centre) and Oxpens (next to the ice-rink).
Templars Square Customer Service Centre

The Centre is located at 2/3 bank Court, Templars Square. The office
is situated between Lloyds and Barclays Bank. Also known simply as the
Cowley Centre, Templars Square is a shopping centre in Cowley, the
biggest in Oxford. Parking is available in the multi-story car park,
including disabled user spaces.
To get to the centre, use City 5 Bus (The Oxford Bus Company)
or 1/10/U10 /12/12A/12B/12c (Stagecoach) from St Aldate's to Templars
Square.

All Oxford City Council departments and other public agencies can give help and advice on a range of service areas:
- help organise Council payments (Direct Debit, payment card, standing order, on line payment through the web site)
- make arrangements for collection of Housing Benefit overpayments,
Periodic Rents, repairs charges and other miscellaneous payments
- direct appropriate customers on how to get debt advice and housing advice
- advise on welfare benefit entitlements and information packs
- stock all council leaflets and a range of public sector information

Council Tax and Business Rates

- registering new charge payers for Council Tax and Business Rates
- making arrangements for Council Tax and Business Rate accounts that
have reached summons and post-liability order stage by
income/expenditure assessment
- advising on liability, discounts, exemptions and charge levels for Council Tax and Business Rates
