Non-hazardous waste collections
- collected in your green general waste bin
- includes waste like nappies, incontinence pads, and sanitary items
- put these in your general waste bin. No special treatment needed
- if you need a larger or extra general waste bin, contact us
- no healthcare professional approval needed
Hazardous waste collections
- collected in orange sacks
- includes wound dressings, bandages, and swabs
- this waste must be disposed of safely to prevent infection spread
- your healthcare professional must sign off the application form and email it to recycling&waste@odsgroup.co.uk where the application will be processed by one of our recycling officers
Sharps collections
- collected in yellow sharps boxes from your healthcare provider
- includes needles and syringes
- do not put these in your general waste bin. They need safe disposal
- we review households using this service yearly
- this waste must be disposed of safely to prevent infection spread
