Large blocks of flats will usually have a shared bin store with bins for recycling, rubbish and food waste. Please use shared bins properly and look after them.
Using shared bins
- Do not block access to the bin stores as it may prevent us from collecting your recycling and rubbish
- Check what goes in each bin - if the wrong items are put in the recycling bin, we will not collect the bin for recycling and rubbish may build up in the bin store
- Do not put batteries or small electrical items into shared bin stores as we're not able to collect them, see the Waste Wizard at Oxfordshire.gov.uk to learn what to do with these items
- Take bulky items to Redbridge Household Waste Recycling Centre or book a bulky waste collection
Issues with shared bin collections
- If you have any issues with bin collections please contact your landlord, managing agent or housing association in the first instance
- Do let us know if your bins are overflowing regularly so we can check the capacity is correct
