Before you report a missed bin collection
These conditions should be met before reporting a missed bin:
- there have been no collection date changes due to national holidays
- the bin didn't contain any wrong items
- there was no extra general rubbish put out
- the bin was put out for collection before 7am
- the bin was in the correct location for collection
- you are reporting the missed bin the same day or the following day by 6pm
If all conditions are met, report a missed bin collection as it may have been missed in error.

Common reasons bins aren't collected
Our collection vehicles are fitted with a live reporting system which keeps a record of why a collection has been missed. Any missed bin reports are checked against this system and if an issue is logged our crew will not return. The most common issues in the reporting system are:
- wrong items in a bin
- extra rubbish left out
- bin was not put out properly (not on time or wrong location)
