This page explains why bins or bulky waste may not have been collected and how to report a collection we missed in error.
It's important to use the correct form for the missed collection so your report can be dealt with quickly.
Reasons bins are not collected
Main reasons bins and sacks aren't collected (and we won't return for them) are:
- bin not presented on time or it's in the wrong location or street (see How to put your bins out for collection)
- wrong items in bin (see What goes in each bin)
- extra rubbish left out (see What to do with extra waste)
For more information see our Recycling and waste collection policies.
The main reasons bulky waste item collections fail are:
- items not visible and accessible (see Bulky waste collection service for how to prepare for collection day)
- extra or different items left out (to what you told us about when you booked)
For more information see our Terms and conditions of the Bulky Waste Collection Service.
