Yes - put these in your food caddy
These food items can be put into your food caddy cooked or uncooked:
- bread and pastries
- dairy products
- fruit and vegetables (including fruit stones)
- meat, fish, bones
- cooking oils and fats (collect in a plastic bottle and place inside the caddy or bin)
- tea bags and coffee grounds (solid or liquid form)
No - do not put these in your food caddy
These items must not be put in your food caddy:
- compostable cups and packaging (use green rubbish bin)
- flowers (use brown garden waste bin)
- food packaging (remove food to put in caddy)
- garden waste (use brown garden waste bin)
- glass, non-food products, and packaging
- vegware packaging (use green rubbish bin)
Can I line the food caddy?
You can put food directly into your caddy or please use a food caddy liner, carrier bag, or newspaper, to protect your bin as these can be removed during the recycling process. Please do not use black bags / sacks.
