Water meter installation for long-term tenants
If you're renting a property from Oxford City Council for more than six months, you're eligible to have a water meter installed. This service is provided to help you manage your water usage more effectively.
Thames Water is in charge of installing water meters. They will visit your property to determine if a water meter can be fitted. For more information on the installation process and what to expect, please visit the Thames Water website.
It's important to note that once a water meter is installed, it is a permanent fixture. This means you will continue to pay for your water usage based on metered readings.
