How you can help
In 2019, we helped launch Oxfordshire Homeless Movement (OHM), a countywide partnership aiming to ensure nobody should have to sleep rough on our streets.
Now a registered charity, OHM continues as a partnership of all the help available locally for those affected by current or past homelessness. It brings greater visibility to all of Oxfordshire's work in homelessness - guiding volunteers, supporters and people experiencing homelessness alike to the actions or services they’re looking for.
OHM’s website provides information on how to give time, money or help in kind to organisations supporting people sleeping outside. It also gives guidance and advice for people who need help.
OHM also delivers directly.
A feasibility study with Crisis in 2020 led to Oxfordshire becoming the first place in the UK to trial a ‘housing-led’ approach to helping people off the streets.
OHM supports and enables all manner of projects and works hard to avoid duplication of effort. OHM won’t initiate a project where one of their partners provides the same service and ensures people are always signposted to the best resources to help them.
Partnership working across the sector is one of OHM’s core values.
If you would like to support OHM’s work

More than 40 organisations participated in OHM’s annual CEO Sleepout in 2024 - raising over £90,000. Contact OHM if you are interested in joining future events or want to find out how to help more generally.
