There is specialist housing designated for people over 55.
This comprises of a range of one and two bedroom independent flats, some in small blocks, some in large schemes, and a small number of bungalows. Most of these properties are eligible for people over 55 years who live alone or as a couple. However the age criteria does vary from scheme to scheme so do check if you think this might be the right option for you.
How to apply
To apply for housing designated for people over 55 or sheltered housing owned by the Council and most Housing Associations in Oxford, you need to complete an application form to be included on the Oxford Register for Affordable Housing.
