Connection Support

Connection Support provides face-to-face family centred support to engage with displaced Ukrainians (under the Homes for Ukraine scheme (GOV.UK website) – helping them gain the skills and confidence they need to live independently in the UK. They work in partnership with Refugee Resource to offer practical, social, and mental health support to help Ukrainian refugees connect with their local area and integrate into their new neighbourhoods. Refugee Resource

Refugee Resource provides therapeutic services for refugees, asylum seekers, and vulnerable migrants. Their services include: counselling and psychotherapy, mentoring, Women’s group and a football group for young men. Refugee Resource also provides training, supervision and consultation to teams and individual practitioners working with refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants affected by trauma and loss. Aspire

Aspire supports individuals to move forward in employment, education, work experience, and training. They provide Employment Support for Refugees which includes direct services, such as Work-Based English for Speakers of Other Languages (WBESOL). Visit the Aspire website.

Oxford Hub

Oxford Hub brings together local groups working to tackle inequalities of health, education and opportunity. All activities are free for everyone in the community. You can find the timetable on the Oxford Hub website.

Refugee Education UK

Refugee Education UK offers tailor-made educational mentoring opportunities to young refugees and asylum seekers across Oxford, London, Birmingham and the East of England. It recruits, trains and supports community volunteers to provide weekly 1:1 mentoring to young people with a forced migration background who need extra help with their education. Multaka

Multaka Oxford is an award-winning project based in Oxford University’s Pitt Rivers Museum and History of Science Museum. Its aim is to bring communities together by sharing rich knowledge and heritage of people from all over the world who have made their home in Oxfordshire.  Multaka supports people to get involved in a range of projects across the History of Science Museum and Pitt Rivers Museum; from co-planning events and attending workshops to writing newsletter articles and leading museum tours. National organisations

British Red Cross

The British Red Cross provide emergency support for refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants, including victims of trafficking. Visit the British Red Cross website.

The International Family Tracing Service at the British Red Cross is available for people who haven’t been able to contact their family. To use the service individuals must be, firstly, living in the UK and, secondly, separated from their family by war, natural disaster, or migration. The service may be able to help in other circumstances where there is a humanitarian need. For example, if you have suddenly lost contact with a relative abroad. Migrant Help

Migrant Help provides advice and guidance to assist asylum seekers in the UK during their asylum process. They run a free asylum helpline available 24/7/365 and accessible to all asylum seekers in the UK - 0808 8010 503. Visit the Migrant Help website.

Refugee Council

The Refugee Council is a leading charity working with refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. Founded in 1951 following the creation of the UN Refugee Convention, they support and empower people who have fled conflict, violence and persecution in order to rebuild their lives here in the UK. Citizens Advice 

Citizens Advice offers free information and advice to support people with money, legal, consumer, and other problems. Visit the Citizens Advice website

Crisis Skylight Oxford

Offers support for those that are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. They also provide sessions and advice via Renting Ready. This is a flexible package to help members to prepare to rent somewhere of their own. It includes understanding types of housing, contracts, rights, responsibilities and more. Some Work Ready sessions are also available if members need to get a job before they can find stable housing. Visit the Crisis Skylight Oxford website.

St Mungo’s 

St Mungo’s works directly with people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, providing them with services to find paths away from the streets, for good. Visit the St Mungo's website

Care4Calais

Care4Calais is a volunteer run charity operating in the UK, delivering essential aid to asylum seekers whilst they are waiting for their asylum claims to be processed. It also provides social support and interaction, including language lessons and sports and music workshops. Volunteers visit asylum seeking individuals and families to offer practical support such as showing them local area or run activities that improve their well-being. Visit the Care4Calais website.

AFIUK

AFIUK supports migrant families, women, and young people with a youth club, women's club, and a number of different activities. Visit the AFIUK website.
