After a thorough assessment of the trial period, Oxford City Council has decided to discontinue the use of Hozah's Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system in our council-owned car parks.

Effective immediately, the Hozah ANPR payment system will no longer be available for use.

This change may impact the way customers manage their parking payments, but to ensure a seamless transition and continued convenience, the other existing parking payment systems continue to be available:

  • RingGo: This user-friendly app provides a quick and secure way to pay for parking. Download the RingGo app onto a smartphone to easily manage parking payments
  • telephone payment: For those who prefer not to use the app, RingGo offers a telephone payment option. Simply call the RingGo number provided at the parking location to complete the transaction
  • ticket machines: Traditional ticket machines are still available in all City Council-owned car parks. Many accept both cash and card payments, while some are card payment only

Comment

“The City Council is aiming to ensure a smooth transition for all users affected by this change though we do not envisage many users being inconvenienced.”

Councillor Louise Upton, Cabinet Member for Planning and Healthier Communities
