Comment
“I am absolutely thrilled and so very grateful to have received this award. My experience being Lord Mayor over the past year was nothing short of extraordinary and I am so proud of the important work done this year to stand for the peace and harmony of the city of Oxford.
"The recognition from this award is not just for me, but for every individual who has supported and believed in the power of diversity, inclusivity, and representation for all women.
"The date of this recognition holds special significance, coinciding with the historic milestone of Nelson Mandela's inauguration as President of South Africa on 10 May. This date signifies the triumph over slavery and racial discrimination, honouring Mandela's enduring courage and vision.”
