Oxford City Council has successfully retained the prestigious Customer Service Excellence (CSE) standard following an interim assessment at the end of last year.
This achievement reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding service to our customers and the dedication of our staff.
During the assessment, the external assessor meticulously reviewed the evidence and conducted interviews with key members of staff. This assessment was the final one in a three-year process.
The results were exceptional. Not only has the City Council maintained its CSE accreditation, but it has also retained the 13 compliance plus ratings awarded in our previous assessment. In addition, two new compliance plus ratings were awarded bringing the total to an impressive 15. These ratings highlight areas that demonstrated excellence and have gone “above and beyond” in meeting the criteria.
Another significant milestone is that there are no longer any “partial compliance” areas. The assessor recognised the significant progress made in enhancing customer satisfaction performance, further reinforcing a commitment to continuous improvement.
Looking ahead
The next assessment is scheduled for November 2025. This will be a comprehensive review requiring fresh evidence across all 57 criteria.
