Tickets are now on sale for The Lord Mayor’s Christmas Carol Concert, which will take place at 2.30pm on Sunday 17 December at Oxford Town Hall.

The Christmas Carol Concert is a wonderful tradition, with people returning year upon year to experience the sights of the building’s grand Main Hall at Christmas time.

Joining the Lord Mayor this year will be Oxfordshire County Youth Orchestra and Choir and West Oxford Young Singers who will be giving a delightful rendition of the UK's best loved carols, including concert highlight The Twelve Days of Christmas. Accompanying the orchestra will be the famous Father Willis organ.

“Christmas has a different meaning and significance to people of all faiths, and those of none. As a Muslim, Christmas is a time to give, think of others more, reflect and spend time with family and friends to enjoy the festive spirit that envelops the city. Nowhere more so can this be felt than at the annual Lord Mayor’s Carol Concert. I am honoured to host this year’s festivities and encourage everyone to come along and share in some seasonal magic.”

Councillor Lubna Arshad, the Lord Mayor of Oxford

Tickets cost £3 each (plus booking fee if bought online) and can be purchased from Eventbrite.

A limited number of tickets will be available to buy in person from the Cards for Good Causes shop located in Oxford Town Hall. Opening times are Monday to Saturday, 10am till 4pm. Tickets will be available to purchase on the door (subject to availability) from 2pm on the day of the concert.

Tickets sales and donations from the concert will be donated to the Lord Mayor’s Chosen Charities for 2023-24: Asylum Welcome, Humanity First UK, and Oxford Community Action. As one of the biggest fundraising events of the civic year we ask that you give what you can this festive season.
