Oxford City Council will deliver flooding advice leaflets to at-risk residents this week.
The leaflet gives practical tips and general advice to help residents prepare and protect their homes from flooding.
It also provides information about what to do during and after a flood event.
The leaflet contains advice from experts at the Environment Agency, Oxfordshire County Council, the City Council and ODS.
Alongside the leaflet, the City Council will also distribute the Environment Agency’s latest information sheet about the Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme.
The leaflets will be hand delivered to homes in Osney Island, and around Botley Road and Abingdon Road.
Oxford has a long history of flooding. Significant floods in recent years have caused damage to homes and businesses, and closed Botley and Abingdon roads.
