Have your Council Tax account number ready. Find this at the top-right of your Council Tax bill, it is 9-digits long and starts with a 6.
Apply to change your council tax to 12 monthly instalments
What happens next
Once you've switched to 12 instalments:
- you will receive a bill confirming the new instalment arrangement.
- any outstanding balance will be spread over the remaining months of the year
- payment will be due on the 1st of each month.
- you will continue to be given 12 monthly instalments for future financial years unless you tell us otherwise
