Courtside Coach Licensing Scheme

Oxford City Council, working in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association and its appointed coaching provider Courtside, is committed to the safeguarding of all players on parks tennis courts, regardless of their background, age, ability or ethnicity. All coaches providing any tennis instruction on Oxford’s parks tennis courts will be asked to:

  • Gain LTA Coach Accreditation (incorporating coaching qualification, enhanced DBS check, first aid and safeguarding training)
  • Provide two references and have a brief interview with Courtside

These documents should be provided to Courtside and, upon successful inspection, a coach licence will be issued for one year.  This licence should be carried with the coach when on court and produced upon request.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in the coach being refused permission to coach on Oxford’s parks tennis courts.
