We remove any dead animals found on the public highway (roads, pavements and open spaces), in City Council owned parks and cemeteries. We handle both wild and domestic animals, such as cats and dogs.
Upon receiving your report, we aim to remove the dead animal promptly. If the removal poses any safety risks, we'll choose a safer time or collaborate with other agencies, including the police, for assistance.
We make every effort to identify domestic pets, including scanning for chips, and will try to notify the owner wherever possible.
