Before you apply for a student Council Tax exemption:
- Check if you are counted as a student for Council Tax purposes
- all student residents must confirm their status in the application, so:
- have all original student certificate(s) ready to upload
- alternatively, students of Oxford University or Oxford Brookes University can be verified against the unversity's list if you give permission from your student self-service account
- if you're an international student living with dependants with a Tier 4 dependant visa you must include the dependant's date of birth and their Home Office visa link
- have your Council Tax account number ready if known (find it at the top-right of your Council Tax bill, it is 9-digits long and starts with a 6)
- do not list anyone under 18 years old
