The PRS Sustainment team are part of the Homelessness prevention team in Housing Needs. They provide holistic and client centred support to tenants with a focus on homelessness prevention.
The team are responsible for tenancy sustainment services across the PRS schemes run by Oxford City Council. They are also responsible for duties placed on local authorities to prevent homelessness in accordance with Housing Act 1996 Part 7 (as amended). Specifically, they work with cases from PRS access schemes that meet the threshold for opening a Prevention duty i.e. tenants who are homeless or threatened with homelessness in the next 56 days.
They can also support with:
- Guidance and signposting for tenants who are seeking to move on to alternative accommodation.
- Generic Tenancy Sustainment for PRS Access Schemes
- Supporting tenants with maximising income (this is particularly relevant for Access Scheme residents restricting by Benefit Cap)
Supporting landlord with queries (this could be one off or helping the landlord with complex situation involving existing tenant) and signposting to other external and internal services where relevant.
This form usually takes about 10 minutes to complete. Please note that after 60 minutes of inactivity the form will time out and any information you have entered will be lost.
