Wellbeing

At Oxford City Council we are committed to keeping our team healthy and happy. We want to create a positive environment where everyone's well-being is a central focus in everything we do.

We know it's important to have a workforce that is not only physically and mentally well but also able to bounce back from challenges. This is especially crucial as we serve the diverse needs of the people of Oxford in various impactful roles.

Our idea of well-being includes the overall health, satisfaction, and resilience of our organisation, teams, and individuals. We want to empower each employee to make good choices and engage in positive well-being practices, helping them thrive not just at Oxford City but also in their wider professional and personal lives.

Oxford City Council holds Wellbeing and Mental Health Webinars throughout the year, but we also have a focused on different subject such as:

  • spotlight on anxiety
  • coping with burnout
  • finding boundaries
  • thinking differently
  • wellbeing support for parents
  • online exercise class or health walks
